Madaz Money is a chat room and educational service for active traders. They teach aspiring traders how to make money scalping highly-volatile stocks, ranging from penny stocks to mid-caps and large caps.
Background
The trading service is run by Max Madaz, a former structural engineer turned millionaire day trader. Upon graduating from UC Irvine, he was buried in student loans and faced a tough job market because of the recession.
Within six months he found a low-paying engineering job and it was here a co-worker introduced him to stock trading. Once he got bitten by the bug there was no stopping him! Madaz became a profitable trader within 18 months and quit his job to pursue trading. A risky move that has paid off as Madaz now has an estimated net worth of $8 million!
Max’s approach to trading is contrarian, preferring to play high percentage scalp setups for quick profits. He also claims to have popularized many strategies, giving them cool-sounding names such as the washout long and panic pop short. On YouTube, Max likes to implement some of these strategies live so people can get an overview of how the strategies work.
Trading Strategy
To help run the site, Madaz has a team of four traders who use different trading styles. As mentioned, Max is mainly a small cap scalper using candlestick charts with various price indicators and level 2 to make trades. Like a sniper, he gets in and out of trades with all positions normally closed by the end of the day.
Chat Room
After signing up, members will be required to set up a free account on Discord. Like a lot of trading gurus, Madaz Money’s chat room is run on the Discord platform.
As you would expect, the chat area is easy to navigate and well-laid out. When you login, you will be greeted with a list of categorized trading channels on the left side of the navigation. We suggest reading the chat room rules before getting started so you don’t annoy others. First impressions do matter!
Although Madaz Money is primarily day trading, there are channels for other strategies such as long-term investing and swing trading. If the market is slow and nothing is happening, there are off-topic discussions if you want to talk about Netflix or fitness etc. The chat room also has live commentary to keep members engaged.
Members Only Videos
Similar to My Investing Club, they have a video lesson library with tutorials to get members started. The educational resources are solid, everything is simplified and organized. Nothing is worse than a large video library with random videos with no structure.
Trade Tracker
Also included in the Madaz Money members’ area is a trade tracker that allows you to track your trades, P/L, and keep up with other traders in the community.
Daily Watchlists
Madaz Money members receive daily watchlists with the best trade ideas for that day. The watchlists are available in the Discord chat room – simply click on the watchlist channel in the left navigation pane. The watchlists are great at guiding you to where the action will be when the market opens.
One-on-One Mentoring
Last but not least, members are well-supported by the moderators and you can always get help by messaging them directly. To do this, simply click on the member you want to contact and send your message through the popup window.
Currently, the moderators for the community are:
- Madaz (Max)
- AllDayA (Anthony)
- Micah Yo (Micah)
- TheShortBear (Lukas)
Is Madaz Money Worth the Money?
Overall I think the service is good value at $149-per-month or $1490 per year paid upfront. Essentially you’re paying to fast track your learning and follow a group of successful traders on a daily basis. Most members join to piggyback on trades which is not recommended. Blindly copying trades in the chat room is a surefire way to blow up your account. You won’t be spoon fed and it could take at least a year to become a profitable trader. Ultimately, it’s only worth the subscription if you’re willing to put in the required effort and success won’t happen overnight.
Pros
- Fully transparent track record and openly shares broker statements.
- Provides great guidance for new traders and helps them discover a style that works for them
- Growing community of like-minded traders focused on learning and supporting each other
- Huge library of educational content and regular webinars
Cons
- Madaz promotes other services to make extra money through affiliate marketing, at least he’s upfront and discloses this
- Madaz likes to trade highly-volatile stocks but he does warn about the potential dangers of each ticker.
- Best suited for active intraday traders, difficult for those with full-time jobs to implement the strategies.
